The Green Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency has accused the constituency election committee and constituency executives of manipulating the delegates’ register ahead of the party’s internal elections.
The group made the allegation at a press conference held at De-Kings Hotel in Tarkwa on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
A member of the team and the aspiring Constituency Secretary, George Gad Enimil said the alleged manipulation has created serious concerns about the credibility of the delegates’ register. It called for an immediate review of the register before the constituency executives’ elections.
Green Team raises concerns over register
The group alleged that some members who filed their nominations unopposed have not received approval.
It also claimed that some people have been brought in to replace existing polling station executives without the knowledge of the original executives.
According to the Green Team, some members have also been moved from their original polling stations and assigned to different polling stations. The group said such changes raise questions about the accuracy and credibility of the register, as about 500 names are allegedly missing.

The Green Team further claimed that about 500 members have been left out of the delegates’ register. It wants the relevant party authorities to investigate the omissions and restore the names of eligible members. The group stressed that every eligible delegate should have their name properly captured in the register before the elections.
Concerns over newly registered members
The Green Team also raised concerns about the inclusion of some recently registered members in the delegates’ register. It alleged that some members who had been registered for less than six months appear on the register as delegates.
The group argued that this goes against the party’s requirement, as it understands it, that a person must have been in the community for at least one year to qualify. It therefore called for the eligibility of such delegates to be reviewed.
Accuses election committee of manipulation
The Green Team directly accused the election committee and the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency Executive of manipulating the delegates’ register to their advantage. The group did not provide independent evidence to establish the allegation during the information available for this report.
The allegations therefore remain claims by the Green Team. The affected constituency executives and election committee have not yet responded to the allegations. The concerns come as the NDC prepares to elect new constituency executives across the country.
on Saturday 24th October, 2026.
The Green Team is therefore calling for the Tarkwa Nsuaem delegates’ register to be reviewed before the constituency elections. It says correcting the alleged discrepancies will help protect the integrity of the electoral process and ensure that eligible delegates can participate.
