CUA Chairman Applauds Credit Union Managers’ Dedication to Humanity and Excellence”

In a recent address at the 24th Annual Conference of the Ghana Association of Cooperative Credit Union Managers (GHACCUM), Dr. B. B. Bingab, Chairman of the Ghana Co-operative Credit Unions Association (CUA) Board, praised the relentless commitment of Credit Union Managers to the credit union movement.

Under the theme “Investing in Humanity: The Role of Credit Unions in Ghana,” Dr. Bingab underscored the need for a comprehensive understanding of investments that go beyond financial transactions.

“Credit unions’ role extends beyond conventional financial investments. It is about recognizing the potential within individuals and the strength of communities,” stated Dr. Bingab. He encouraged Credit Union Managers to help members make informed decisions, emphasizing the importance of commitment to community development. “Our responsibilities extend beyond dispensing financial services. We are advocates for the holistic development of our members and the communities we serve,” he added.

Dr. Bingab acknowledged the pivotal role of GHACCUM in advancing the credit union movement, commending the association for continuously driving progress, advocating for credit unions and their members, and striving for excellence. “Their commitment to providing ongoing support, training, and resources to credit unions across the nation is commendable,” he expressed.

The Chairman’s address resonated with attendees at the Credit Union Training Center in Kasoa, with many leaving the conference with a renewed focus on the broader impact of their roles as Credit Union Managers.

Feedback from participants indicated that the credit union movement in Ghana has evolved, and the insights from the CUA Board Chairman, along with the educational sessions at the conference, will serve as a catalyst for their renewed commitment to humanity, community development, and excellence in the discharge of their duties.
