The Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly has unanimously confirmed the President’s nominee, Mr. Ebenezer Cobbinah, as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
The confirmation ceremony, held at the St. Matthew Parish Hall, brought together a cross-section of dignitaries including members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Western Regional Minister Hon. Joseph Nelson, traditional leaders, the immediate past MCE, and other stakeholders.
Mr. Cobbinah secured a resounding 100% endorsement, polling 42 out of 42 votes from both elected Assembly Members and government appointees—an emphatic approval of his leadership.
Following the voting process, the Regional Minister officially swore him into office.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Cobbinah expressed deep appreciation for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work tirelessly to advance the development of Tarkwa-Nsuaem.
He outlined a bold vision to transform the municipality into a model of excellence in service delivery, aligning with President John Mahama’s broader national agenda to reset and transform Ghana.
“My goal is to make Tarkwa-Nsuaem the most transformed municipality in Ghana. This vision will be driven by innovation, inclusiveness, and efficient governance,” he stated.
The ceremony marked a new chapter in the administration of the municipality, with stakeholders optimistic about the leadership and development prospects under Mr. Cobbinah’s stewardship.
