Anglogold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine has made a significant contribution to the Tarkwa District Police Command by donating a Toyota Hilux pickup truck valued at 813,168.00 Ghana cedis.
This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing security, development, and the overall well-being of the communities in which it operates.
The acting Managing Director of AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine, Abraham Osei Badu emphasized that the company’s mission extends beyond mining; it aims to empower individuals and advance societies.
He highlighted the importance of safety as a fundamental pillar for progress, noting that a secure environment is crucial for business operations, families, and every community member.

Mr Osei Badu expressed confidence that this donation would equip the Tarkwa District Police Command with the necessary resources to respond swiftly to incidents, conduct more effective patrols, and ultimately serve the residents of Tarkwa Nsuaem with enhanced efficiency.
He added that this gesture underscores the company’s dedication to fostering a safer and more secure community.

The Mine also recently constructed and handed over a fully resourced gym, valued at GH₵553,100.00, to support the fitness and well-being of police officers in the Tarkwa District and Regional Command.
“The company believes that by equipping our security forces with the right tools, we are working together to build stronger and secured community”, Mr Osei Badu said.
The Regional Second in command(2 I C) for Western-central police command Tarkwa, ACP Mr. Nana Bismark Agyepong thanked AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem mine for always supporting the police service.
