Road Transport Operators have reduced lorry fares by ten percent.
This is to take effect from Wednesday May 17, 2023.
A statement released on Tuesday May 15, 2023 signed by both General Secretaries of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) and Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC) said “In line with Administrative Agreement on the Transport fares, the road Transport Operators have reduced public transport fares by 10% to accommodate for the reduction of protroleum products observed over the period”.
This reduction affects shared taxis, intra city (tro-tro), intercity long distance and haulage.
