Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) has announced a planned shutdown of its Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and offshore Gas Export Facilities from August 1 to August 17, 2024.
A statement signed by the Head of Corporate Communications, Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu said “the shutdown is necessary to conduct critical safety and essential maintenance works aimed at enhancing the plant’s operational efficiency and ensuring an uninterrupted gas supply in the long term”
The statement said “During this period, Ghana Gas will continue to provide Lean Gas from the Sankofa-OCTP field, which will be available for delivery at the Takoradi Distribution Station (TDS)”
The company assured the public that there will be no disruption to power supply despite the maintenance activities.
The statement added that “Ghana Gas deeply regrets any inconvenience that the shutdown may caune but assures the general public that there will be uninterrupted power supply during the shutdown period”.
It concluded that “We are committed to maintaining the highest standard of safety and operational efficiency”.
